Our Vision
One
of the most profound (spiritually deep) statements that our Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ said is found in His Sermon on the Mount in St.
Matthew 7:12 where he states, "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would
that men shoulddo to you, do ye even so to them." In other words: Do
unto them as you would have them do unto you. My prayer is that we draw
nearer to the Lord daily, understanding that doing so enables us to have
healthy relationships with one another.
It
takes the Christ in us, by the power of the Holy Spirit to lead and
guide us to these truths we desperately need in these last days. I see a
people united spiritually, working together, edifying and loving one
another. People who desire a loving relationship with the Lord,
understanding that God is not the author of confusion and knowing that
things must be done decently and in order. Not our will but the Lord’s
will be done. Spiritual restoration is very important to me, as I
believe there are many who have turned away from the Lord for various
reasons, and need to be ministered to of His grace and mercy.
In
this house it is our reasonable service to present ourselves to the
Lord; living sacrifices willing to answer His call on our lives. In
chapter 7 verses 15-20, the Lord admonishes us to:
"Beware
of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly
they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits, Do men
gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every
good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Every tree
that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
THEREFORE BY THEIR FRUITS YOU WILL KNOW THEM."
The
Great Commission is clear on the job description of those who follow
after Christ: Go and make more disciples by every possible venue. We are
first to go, take action; take initiative to reach the lost, outside of
these four walls, outside of our normal parameters. Our job, at that
time, is to teach – to instruct, to inform, to enlighten, to guide those
who are trapped in utter darkness into the marvelous light.
Evangelism
then, isn’t a suggestion but a mandate. The vision is to utilize every
available resource to spread the good news, which is the Gospel. This
includes and yet is not limited to the mediums of Radio, Television,
Missions, and the Internet.
